Itinerary

Introduction
Day 1: – Arrival

Boarding in Saraighat Express at 3.50 pm from Howrah. Train can be changed any time due to availability.

Day 2

Reaching Alipurduar at about at 4.35am. Refreshment time will be available for a couple of hours in the station premises. Pickup From Alipurduar RLY Station & transfer to Phuntsholling. [this is a 1.5 hr drive] Process Permit at Phuentsholing & Transfer to Paro (It lies in western Bhutan at an elevation of 2280 m. As the only airport is located here. It is the gateway into this mystical kingdom) check in at hotel. Evening walk through the Paro main shopping District. The local shops sell’s a verity of good’s, Grocery, Textile as well as Prayer Flags. Overnight Stay at Paro.

Day 3

Early Morning Visit Taktshang: or “Tiger’s Nest”, Rinpung Dzong, Nya-mey Zam, Ta Dzong, Dungtse Lhankhang, Drukgyel Dzong & Kyichu Lhakhang, Evening Drive to hotel, Overnight stay at Paro.

Day 4

Early Morning transfer to Punakha (Punakha is located at an alleviation of 1250 m and played a very important role in history. It had been the capital for over 300 years) via Dochula Pass Sightseeing & astonishing view of Himalayas, Check in at hotel. Later visit Punakha Dzong, Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten. Afternoon transfer to The higher reaches of the Wangduephodrang valley provide rich pasture land for cattle and this valley is famous for its fine bamboo work, stone carvings, and slates & Visit Wangduephodrang Dzong. After full day excursion Drive to Punakha. Check In at Hotel. Overnight stay at Punakha/ wangdu.

Day 5

Transfer to Bumthang after Breakfast. [4hr drive to bumthang]; afternoon free for viewing the nature. Overnight stay in Bumthang.

Day 6:

Whole day sight seeing in Bumthang. Overnight stay in Bumthang.

Day 7:

After Breakfast check out from Bumthang & stop over in Punakha/ wangdu.

Day 8:

After Breakfast transfer to Thimphu, (Thimphu is the Capital of Bhutan & the largest town in Bhutan. It lies at an altitude of 2400 Meters. All Government headquarters and centre for trade are located here). Evening free for Market Excursion. Overnight stay at hotel Thimphu.

Day 9:

After Breakfast visit to Tashichho Dzong, National Memorial Chorten, Simtokha Dzong, Institute for Zorig Chusum, Changangkha Lhakhang, Dechen-phodrang, Wangdi-tse Monastery, Buddha Point, National Zoo with the National animal Takin. Evening Drive to hotel, Overnight Stay at Thimphu.

Day 10:

Morning free for packing & After Breakfast Drop to Alipurduar RLY Station via Road View Sightseeing. Saraighat Exp at 4.43 pm. Train can be changed any time due to availability.

Day 11:

Reaching Sealdah in the morning.

N.B. Tour cost includes sleeper class train fare, transfer, sightseeing, stay & proper guidance. No food is included into the tour cost.

Documents approved by Department of Immigration,Phuentsholing :-

    • 1. Voter Identity Card
    • 2. Passport
    • 3. Aadhaar card
    • 4. School / College / Birth Certificate for Minors
    • 5. Passport Size Colour Photograph (4 NOS).

In case of not holding the above document, you need to approach to the office of Consulate General of India, India Embassy for getting permission for entry into Bhutan. The following documents are required at the office of Consulate General of India, India Embassy for identification of Indian Citizenship.

(1) Driving License (2) Pan card (3) Ration card (4) School / college Identity Card with Photo for those who are less than 18 Years (5) Marriage Certificate (6) Bank passbook with photo attested

Note:

    • 1. Indian Embassy is closed on Saturday & Sunday.
    • 2. Permit issued from Phuentsholing & Paro is valid for Thimphu & Paro Only.
    • 3. Special Permit for Punakha, Wangdue, Phobjika, Trongsa, Bhumthang etc. is issued from Department of Immigration Office Thimphu.
    • 4. Department of Immigration office Thimphu is Closed on Saturday, Sunday & National Holidays.
    • 5. Department of Immigration office Thimphu may remain closed without prior notice and immediate declaration of holidays.
